Regional Technical
Assistance Coordinator

I am looking forward to working with you in this grand adventure: PBIS! My career as an educator began as a classroom teacher, then quickly moved to school psychologist. I worked as a psychologist in Glendale, Hartford Unified, and, for the past 20 years, Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS). The past 15 years I have held less traditional positions, allowing me to create systems change in the area of school discipline and climate. Specifically, I was a member of the MPS Violence Prevention Team for 12 years, providing training to teachers and schools in the Classroom Organization and Management Program (COMP), Second Step, Steps to Respect, Let's Get Real, and Peer Mediation. In conjunction with Milwaukee Fire Department, I created the curriculum, Staying Alive. This is an anger management program geared for middle school students that is currently being presented by members of the fire deptartment to MPS students.

I served for one year on the MPS RtI Team. Before coming to the Wisconsin PBIS Network, I was a PBIS external coach for MPS, coaching 15 schools in tier 1 and tier 2. I look forward to sharing and expanding my knowledge of what works in creating conditions for learning
